American Showdown draws closer, and The Path of Pain arrives with purpose.

Throughout the night, Deacon Savage will be collecting Confessions of Pain from those in attendance. What is carried in silence, what has been buried, what still weighs on the spirit may be written and surrendered before the end of the event. When the night is finished, those confessions will be cast into the fire.

Aaron Lucas steps into a Triple Threat Match against Hack and Harley Stone. For The Nightmare, this is not about sharing the moment. It is about pressure, punishment, and proving that once he enters the fight, the tone changes for everyone in it.

Then comes the main event.

Joe Morningstar, the number one contender for the SLW Heavyweight Championship, meets the current champion Austin Barrett in a Last Man Standing Match. Barrett has wanted this fight for close to two years, and Morningstar made his answer clear a week and a half ago when he jumped Barrett as he was getting home from work.

The message was not subtle. Austin Barrett may carry the championship now, but Morningstar has already made it clear that he expects that title delivered with same day shipping. The two have come face to face several times before, but American Showdown marks their first official match, and there will be no escaping what it becomes once the bell rings.

Morningstar drags him down the Path until he cannot stand.

The Path is true. The order is Heavyweight.
